Feminist Theory explores the differences between male and female writers, how women are portrayed culturally and in different media and the differences between how women are portrayed between male and female writers.   Feminism continues to change as views on feminism change.  Though directed toward women, feminism can be applied to any environment where one segment of the population is dominated by another.
